Business owner holding a domain certificate representing website ownership and transparency

If I Cancel My PagePlatform Subscription and Decide to Stop Working With You, Do I Still Own My Website and Domain Name?

July 08, 2026

This is a question every thoughtful business owner should ask before entering any ongoing service relationship — and the fact that you're asking it says something good about how seriously you take your business decisions. Transparency matters, and you deserve a clear, honest answer.

Your Domain Name: Always Yours

Your domain — your web address — is the property of your business, full stop. Regardless of who helped you register it, regardless of what hosting platform it points to, and regardless of whether you continue working with any particular agency or provider, you always retain full ownership of your domain name.

At Dillon Digital, we ensure that domains associated with our clients' businesses are registered in the client's name and remain under their control at all times. You are never locked into our services by virtue of us holding your domain. If you decide to move your website elsewhere or step away from online marketing for a time, your web address goes with you. It's your address. We just help you make the most of it.

Your PagePlatform System: Understanding What's Included

The PagePlatform system itself — the website design, the pages, the automated features, the integrations, and the interactive tools — is built and hosted within Dillon Digital's infrastructure. This is the technology layer that makes the system function: the booking tools, contact automations, CRM integrations, performance monitoring, and ongoing optimization work.

When you subscribe to PagePlatform, you are subscribing to an actively managed, hosted service — not purchasing a standalone piece of software or a static file that can be downloaded and moved as-is. Much like a subscription to a cloud-based business application, the system lives within an ecosystem that we maintain on your behalf.

What Happens If You Cancel?

You may request to cancel your PagePlatform subscription at any time — no lock-in, no punishing cancellation fees. When you submit a cancellation request, you make your final monthly payment, and your subscription officially ends 30 days later. This gives you a full month to plan your transition, migrate your content if applicable, and make sure your business isn't disrupted during the changeover.

After your subscription officially ends:

  • All interactive and automated features — booking tools, automated follow-up, CRM integrations, and any other active system elements — will be switched off and will no longer function.
  • The static portions of your website — your pages, your content, and your written information — will remain visible online. Your domain will still point to it, and visitors will be able to see a basic version of the site.
  • Ongoing maintenance, optimization, and support will no longer be provided.

Planning a Transition: What You Should Know

If you'd like to move your website to a different hosting platform or work with a different agency, our practical recommendation is this: begin planning your migration before your subscription ends. Most professional web developers can migrate the static content of a website to a new platform. What typically doesn't transfer directly are the custom-built dynamic features and automations configured within your PagePlatform system, as those are proprietary to the platform that powers them. A new provider will generally need to rebuild equivalent functionality on their platform.

At Dillon Digital, we're happy to discuss migration options if you're planning a transition, and we'll do our best to make the process as smooth as possible.

The Bottom Line

Your domain: yours, always. Your PagePlatform system: an actively managed service that operates within our infrastructure while your subscription is active, and winds down in a clearly defined, client-respectful way if you choose to end it. We believe in being straightforward. If you have more questions about ownership or migration options, we're happy to talk through them before you even sign up. That's the kind of partnership we're committed to building.
