Frequently Asked Questions

Advanced Website Systems

My friend could build me a website for free! Why should I pay $149 or more per month for you to do it for me?

If you or someone you know could build a website for your business for free, why have you yet to do so already?

It's the late 2020s. The vast majority of people use the Internet, search engines, and AI as their primary method of searching for local businesses and services as they need them, so an up-to-date, professional website is more important than ever for scaling your small business. Though it has been nearly a quarter century since the emergence of Web 2.0 and online interactive business directories including Google Maps and Yelp, approximately 27% of small businesses across the United States have yet to establish and manage a company website. This means that as many as 10,000,000 businesses nationwide are invisible to many of their potential customers!

At Dillon Digital Solutions, we understand that this most often is not due to a disinterest in the Internet or a lack of professionalism. Rather, many small business owners simply do not have the time to create and manage their digital presence while running their business full-time, or they don't know where to begin with the abundance of online tools available. Our PagePlatform advanced website packages are designed to take the guesswork out of this process and establish a modern, professional digital foundation tailored to your business' needs, industry, and budget at a predictable, reasonable cost.

Why do you charge a monthly subscription fee for your website systems after you build them?

Dillon Digital Solutions incurs costs on a monthly basis to keep your website "live" and connected to your domain, ensure that your system's interactive elements are usable and accessible, and ensure your business' online profile is visible to your target customer base.

Contrary to popular belief, there are more costs involved with creating and maintaining a website aside from its initial build – even if the website is never updated.

Reserving and utilizing a domain (web address) is typically associated with an annual cost to its owner: much like how many homeowners are charged an HOA fee to own property and reside in their community, even if they own their home outright with no mortgage or rental payments. This applies to every website – from the simplest, static digital brochure to the most dynamic and robust Web app. Maintaining websites that include interactive elements that serve visitors directly also often incur online service, cloud-storage, and AI token usage charges.

Dillon Digital's PagePlatform advanced website systems are designed and administrated through a PaaS ("Platform As A Service") called HighLevel, specifically designed for digital marketing agencies who serve small-to-medium-sized businesses. We also utilize several other paid tools for market research, webpage optimization, content creation, and business administration purposes.

After I finish setting up a website for my business, isn't the work done? Why do I need to spend money to keep it live and up to date? What happens if I just set it and forget it?

A website is not a one-time project. It is an active part of your business infrastructure.

Search engines like Google continuously evaluate websites based on freshness, performance, and relevance. If your site is not maintained, it gradually becomes less visible, slower, and less effective at converting visitors into clients.

A "set it and forget it" website often becomes outdated, harder to find, and less trustworthy to potential customers. Ongoing maintenance ensures your site stays fast, secure, visible, and aligned with how people search today.

What is HighLevel? Do you use GoHighLevel? Why should I pay you $149 or more each month to get access to the system if I can purchase my own subscription directly through HighLevel for $97/month?

HighLevel is a powerful marketing and automation platform. Yes, we use it as part of our PagePlatform systems.

The difference is not the software. It is how the system is built, configured, and optimized for your specific business. Most business owners who try to set it up themselves never fully utilize it, or abandon it due to complexity and time constraints.

When you work with Dillon Digital, you are not just paying for access to software. You are getting a fully built system, strategic setup, ongoing support, and a partner who ensures everything actually works together to generate results.

If you're interested in making use of HighLevel but would prefer to set up your own system without support from our agency, we can onboard your business as an entirely "DIY" client for only $79 per month: 20% cheaper than purchasing the most basic license directly through HighLevel.

I've been in business for 20 years without a website! Why do I suddenly need one now?

The truth is that even if your ideal client profile remains the same, your customers have changed. Today, most people will search for your business online before they consider visiting, even when they receive a face-to-face referral. They want to verify credibility, read reviews, and understand your services before reaching out.

Without a website, you are invisible to a large portion of your target market and harder to trust for those who do hear about you. A strong digital presence does not replace your reputation. It reinforces and scales it.

My business is strictly word-of-mouth. How is a stranger on the Internet better than a personal referral?

Online referrals and reviews are closely similar in merit to a "word-of-mouth" referral. Internet reviews are written or generated by real people as a means of informing their communities about the quality of your services – just like if they were to tell their friends and family about your business face-to-face. In an era where many consumers from all walks of life with every service need utilize the Internet as their sole means of researching local businesses before becoming customers, building an online presence is integral to establish client trust and encourage individuals in your community to consider your service.

Accumulating a base of tens, hundreds, or thousands of positive online reviews indicates that your business is highly trustworthy and reliable relative to your competitors. A large number and steady inflow of online reviews also signals to potential clients that your business is currently open, active, and consistently delivers quality service. Conversely, a lack of online reviews – or no online presence at all – will lead many people to question your business' legitimacy, activity, and service quality if they do not have enough information available at their fingertips to trust your business enough to consider you.

Each word-of-mouth referral requires a considerable degree of effort and established trust between client and business owner. While effective on a per-case basis, it is not advised to remain fully reliant on personal referrals for client outreach and lead generation. Implementing a simple review-request automation to be sent to each client after you render your services will prevent your pipeline of new customers from drying up in the absence of personal referrals.

What if people leave bad reviews on my website, Google business profile, or social media pages? Won't that hurt me more than not being online at all?

A few negative reviews can actually increase trust when handled properly.

Customers expect to see a mix of feedback, and understand that you can't please everyone! What matters most is how you respond. A professional, thoughtful response shows that you care and are actively engaged with your clients.

No online presence at all is often more damaging than having a few imperfect reviews. It is much better to have hundreds of mostly positive reviews with a handful of negative reviews than only a few positive reviews with no negative feedback at all.

I'm already as busy as I want to be. Why should I pay for a service that sends more inquiries to my business that I can’t handle?

More inquiries does not mean more stress. It means more control.

With a steady flow of leads, you can be selective about who you work with, prioritize higher-value clients, and build a more stable business.

Additionally, systems like CyberConcierge help manage, prospect, qualify, filter, and respond to initial client inquiries so they do not overwhelm your day.

Does my business really need a website? Isn't our Facebook page or Yelp profile enough of an 'online presence' for free?

Social media platforms are helpful, but you do not own them.

A website is the only digital asset that you fully control. Social platforms can change their rules, limit your reach, or remove your account without warning.

Your website acts as your central hub. It connects everything together, builds credibility, and gives potential clients a clear, professional place to learn about your business and take action. Your social media pages (including Facebook, Yelp, LinkedIn, and your Google Business Profile) work to support your website, boost your brand, and draw potential customers to your website.

Social media pages, posts, and advertisements capture the attention of potential customers and encourage them to click a link to your business' website. From there, an effective and comprehensive website presents your business' services and enables the user to consider whether your services are the right fit for their needs then make their final decision to convert and become a paying client.

Can you prove that a website will actually bring in more cash than it costs me to build and maintain?

At Dillon Digital Solutions, we take care to optimize every PagePlatform advanced website system to improve your business' online visibility, enable potential clients to locate and contact your business online, present your services and reflect your brand as you intend, and raise your business' position in search-engine results. However, we cannot guarantee a specific financial outcome, number of leads generated, or percentage increase in revenue. A professional website is an investment designed to pay off over time, not a get-rich-quick scheme.

What we can say is this. A professional website increases your visibility, improves trust, and makes it easier for clients to contact you or book services.

If even a small number of additional clients come in each month as a result, the system typically pays for itself. The goal is not instant results. It is building a reliable, long-term pipeline of opportunities.

Wow! $1,000 or more for a website build seems expensive. What do web design agencies typically charge for a professional website? Am I getting a good deal?

Professional website builds often range anywhere from $1,500 to $10,000 or more upfront, depending on complexity. Many agencies also charge ongoing maintenance fees on top of that.

Our PagePlatform advanced website systems range from $1,000 to $3,500 in initial setup fees, plus a monthly hosting and maintenance fee of $149 to $1,197 depending on the interactive features, automations, integrations, and systems included in your plan.

For most small businesses, this reduces upfront risk and makes it easier to maintain a high-quality digital presence without an excessive initial investment.

Most of my competitors don't have good websites either. Why should my business be the first to spend the money?

That is exactly the opportunity: if your business is the only competitor serving your target market that has a modern, effective website, it will set your brand and services as the most professional and up-to-date option in your area!

When your competitors have weak or outdated online presences, it becomes much easier for your business to stand out. A professional website immediately positions you as more credible and accessible.

You do not need to be perfect. You just need to be better than the alternatives your customers are comparing.

If I cancel my PagePlatform subscription and decide to stop working with you, do I still own my website and domain name?

Your domain address is the property of your business, so you always retain ownership of your domain name, even if you choose to stop doing business with us. Therefore, it is important that you migrate your website to your new hosting platform or another agency before your PagePlatform subscription ends.

The PagePlatform system itself is hosted and maintained within our infrastructure. You may request to cancel your PagePlatform subscription at any time. Upon requesting to cancel, you make your final monthly payment, and your subscription will officially end 30 days later.

If you cancel, the active system and its integrated features will no longer be maintained or accessible after your subscription officially ends. Your website will have all interactive elements switched off, but the static portions of your website will remain active.

If long-term ownership and portability are a priority, we can discuss alternative structures or migration options if you choose to cancel.

If I give you access to my customer list or business info, how do I know it's secure?

We use established, secure platforms and follow best practices for data handling and access control.

Your information will only be used to operate your systems: it will not be shared with any of our other clients or outside parties without your express permission. Dillon Digital Solutions will NEVER sell or misuse client data. If you decide to cancel your subscription and stop doing business with our agency in the future, your business' private client data will be deleted from our records.

If you have specific compliance requirements, we can review them together during setup. If your business is bound by HIPAA and/or you wish for your systems and/or lead-capture forms to capture personal healthcare-related information (PHI) in any form, we charge an additional privacy compliance fee of $297 per month to ensure that our agency is properly insured to handle your client data within your PagePlatform system.

Everything changes so fast online! Am I going to have to pay for a whole new website again in eighteen months?

No. Your PagePlatform is a dynamic system designed to evolve. Updates, improvements, and adjustments can be made within the existing framework as your business grows or technology changes.

This avoids the need for constant rebuilds and keeps your digital presence current over time.

How long will it take for my website to be up and running after I start working with you?

Depending on our current business volume, your PagePlatform subscription tier, and the customizations and specific features you request as part of your site build, it will most likely take anywhere from a week to a month to construct and publish your business' advanced website system from start to finish. We will begin building your system when you submit your initial setup fee, and can provide a rough estimate regarding when we expect to have it completed.

Why does my landscaping business need a website? Residential home services have nothing to do with the Internet!

Even for hands-on industries, the buying process starts online. Homeowners search for providers, compare options, and look for proof of quality before reaching out. A website ensures your business shows up, looks professional, and makes it easy to contact you.

Why does my salon or spa need a website?

Clients expect to see services, pricing, photos, and booking options online.

A website makes it easy for new clients to discover you and for existing clients to book appointments without friction.

Online Marketing

How do I know you aren't just using 'tech jargon' to overcharge me for something simple?

That is a fair concern.

Our approach is simple. We explain exactly what we are building, why it matters, and how it helps your business. Dillon Digital Solutions will only recommend services that we believe your business would specifically benefit from. No unnecessary complexity, no hidden features you do not need.

You are not paying for jargon. You are paying for a system that is designed to bring in opportunities and save you time.

Does a local business like mine really need to compete with national brands online?

You are not competing on scale, you are competing on relevance. This factor is especially critical in client service-based industries, in which location and proximity to potential customers is often the primary factor that influences their decision.

Local businesses have a major advantage in local search results, especially when their website and profiles are properly optimized. A strong digital presence ensures that when someone nearby searches for your service, your business is part of that conversation.

How much of my time is this going to take? I'm busy running my business and don't have hours to devote to digital marketing!

Very little time after the initial setup, aside from following up with any new leads, clients, and inquiries that the system brings in. Since these are already a necessary part of running your business, even without a website or social media presence, our systems are highly unlikely to result in extra admin work for you or your staff.

We handle the technical build, configuration, administration, and optimization for all PagePlatform systems, CyberConcierge virtual receptionists, and ContentContractor organic social media marketing campaign management plans. You provide the core business information, and we take it from there. The goal is to give you the benefits of a modern digital system without adding more work to your schedule.

Our systems are designed to automate and digitize your scheduling, inquiry response, client intake, and prospecting processes to reduce the amount of time you spend on administrative tasks. This will provide you with more time for the work you're actually passionate about: serving your clients and scaling your business!

I don’t want to sound like a 'robot.' How can you possibly create website and social media content that actually sound like me and my business?

We build your system around your business, not a generic template. During onboarding, we gather information about your tone, services, and communication style. From there, we create content that reflects how you actually speak to your clients.

The goal is not to replace your voice. It is to scale it.

What is the difference between organic social media marketing and paid social media advertising? If you're not spending money on ads, why do you charge a monthly fee?

Paid advertising generates immediate traffic, but it stops the moment you stop paying. The cost of paid-search, paid-social, and legacy-format ad space is also constantly subject to change as markets and consumer demand fluctuate.

Organic marketing builds long-term visibility, credibility, and trust. Your website, content, and online presence continue working for you over time.

The monthly investment supports the systems, optimization, and infrastructure that keep your business visible and competitive. This enables you to reap the benefits of online visibility and bolster your business' reputation at a predictable monthly rate.

Why do I need to do digital marketing? I have lots of friends, industry contacts, or business associates with whom I exchange client referrals.

Relying on personal referrals as your sole source of prospecting new clients is not recommended, as it requires consistent human effort from both your business and your network to continually attract new clients. If the referrals stop coming in, or you decide to go on vacation or sabbatical, your pipeline dries up.

Personal referrals are most effectively leveraged alongside a robust digital presence. This also enables potential clients who discovered your business through word-of-mouth to learn more about it by checking out your website!

My clients are elderly and/or inactive on social media. Why does my business need to be active online?

Even if your clients are not personally active on social media, their decision-making process is still influenced by the Internet.

Many elderly clients rely on family members, caregivers, or trusted advisors to help them research and choose service providers. Those individuals almost always turn to Google, websites, and online reviews to evaluate their options before making a recommendation.

Additionally, having an online presence is not just about social media activity. It is about credibility and accessibility. A simple, professional website and basic online profiles make it easier for anyone, whether it is the client themselves or someone helping them, to find your business, understand your services, and feel confident reaching out.

In short, you are not just marketing to your clients. You are marketing to the people who help them make decisions.

AI-Powered Virtual Receptionists

We already have voicemail. Why do I need an AI-powered virtual receptionist?

In this day and age, even your voicemail inbox is open, potential new clients will rarely leave a voicemail. In fact, 80% of first-time callers will not leave a message – they'll simply call your competitor. Voicemail records provide a record of who you lost. Your AI receptionist prevents them from slipping through the cracks.

We aren’t very tech savvy. Is CyberConcierge easy to use?

Not a problem – this system doesn't require any technological expertise. We handle the setup to customize and train your receptionist to meet your business' needs. From there, the system runs itself, and no call goes unanswered. Every call your receptionist answers gets transcribed, and it collects and stores the caller's contact information in your LeadConnector mobile app that enables you to follow up with them directly from your cell phone.

How much does CyberConcierge cost after the trial?

The system starts at $297 per month, plus a small usage fee of roughly 13 cents per call-minute. We also offer an unlimited-volume plan for a flat fee of $497 per month, recommended for businesses who experience high call volumes or prefer a more predictable cost structure.

If this system allows you to book a few extra clients each month, which most businesses see within the first week, the system pays for itself; not to mention the recurring value of a growing base of satisfied, recurring clients! If you're not satisfied with your receptionist at the end of the trial period, you're free to cancel. Either way, you don’t lose anything by trying it out.

Why does my medical/dental practice need an AI receptionist? We have a front desk that is staffed throughout business hours.

Your front desk is essential, but it cannot answer every call. CyberConcierge ensures that after-hours calls, missed calls, and overflow are still handled professionally, so potential patients are not lost.

Why does my financial advisory practice or law office need an AI receptionist? I already have a personal assistant and/or client care coordinator.

Many high-value clients call outside of standard hours or during busy periods. CyberConcierge ensures those inquiries are captured, qualified, and documented, while maintaining a professional and reassuring tone.

Will my customers know they're talking to a 'robot?' Will they hang up as soon as they realize it?

Your CyberConcierge is designed to sound like a human and is specially trained to meet your business' and customer base's needs. If a caller wishes to be transferred to a human employee, your system can be set up to forward their call to the appropriate member of staff upon request.

What if my AI-powered virtual receptionist makes a mistake or gives out the wrong information about my pricing or services?

No system is perfect, including human staff! The difference is that CyberConcierge logs every interaction, allowing you to review, refine, and continuously improve its responses over time. While a human employee can take months to initially train, and weeks to correct a bad habit or misconception, your CyberConcierge virtual receptionist system is instantly trained and ready to serve your business based on your responses to your Setup Survey, and can be refined, adjusted, and retrained within days upon request.

Can an AI receptionist handle my specific industry jargon, or will it just keep saying 'I didn't quite catch that?

Your CyberConcierge is programmed to recall the nuances of your business, industry terminology, and service model. During the setup process, we request our clients to complete the CyberConcierge Design Survey and Setup Survey to furnish our agency with the information we need to customize and train your business' virtual receptionist system.

How much of my time will it take to train and maintain my AI receptionist so it doesn't sound like a total stranger?

Training and maintaining your CyberConcierge AI-powered virtual receptionist system will require very little of your personal time after it is up and running.

We handle the initial setup and training based on your business, industry, target market, and responses to your Setup Survey. After that, adjustments can be made as needed, but the system largely runs on its own.

Where is my customers' data going, and is it legal for an AI-powered system to record and store their private information?

The system is designed to collect only necessary information. Your CyberConcierge virtual receptionist system is instructed to never provide medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice to your callers.

Why should I pay hundreds per month for an AI receptionist to pick up missed calls, when I could just use a traditional voicemail or a cheap answering service?

Potential new clients across service-based businesses in the Western world are increasingly unlikely to leave a message or interact with your business if someone isn't there to answer the phone immediately. On average, 62% of total inbound calls to small businesses go unanswered, and 80% of first-time callers who get directed to voicemail won't bother leaving a message. They'll simply call your competitor down the street.

If my AI receptionist 'misses' a lead because it couldn't answer a complex question, how am I supposed to know?

CyberConcierge is instructed to collect each caller's contact details at the beginning of each inbound call and summarize its conversation with the caller. After the call has finished, these details will appear under the Conversations tab of your Dillon Digital web portal and LeadConnector mobile app for you to review. From there, you can determine whether you wish to follow up with the client directly to respond to their complex concern and meet their needs.
